To go along with our spring musical for the year, we themed our annual Sports Fun Friday after the story of Jonah.  The students divided into three teams:  The Ninevites, the Hebrews and the Yeoman.  We spent the morning competing in the Hurricane Relay, Whale Belly Slime Hunt, Swervy Scurvy Relay, Tarshish Fish Relay, Whale Ball, Sailor's Obstacle Course and Immunity Item Scavenger Hunt followed by a hearty lunch of Cici's pizza and an afternoon of enjoyment on the links at Stone Mountain Park's miniature golf course.  We wrapped up the day with a tug of war contest and an awards ceremony.  It was a blast!

Here are some comments about the event written and typed by 1st - 3rd grade students in computer class.

On Sports Fun Friday my favorite was the obstacle course.  First we did the Hurricane Relay. Next we did a game were we got to choose what we wanted to roll.  After that we did the Tarish town Relay. We did other stuff.

Photos will be available soon.

Fourth through sixth grade students participated in the NASP sponsored fun shoot at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, Georgia.  They all did fantastic!  Several of the students shot scores that were literally within inches of taking a trophy in the middle school division.  For more information on NASP, please click here.
